More than 120 new missile strikes launched by Russia Thursday, Zelensky adviser says

Fresh Russian missile strikes could be heard across Ukraine early Thursday morning, including in the country’s capital of Kyiv.

More than 120 missiles were launched by Russia across Ukraine on Thursday, according to Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has warned residents of the city of possible power and water outages, CNN says, as its team in Ukraine hears blasts across the capital city. The news outlet also says Russia’s attack damaged homes, an industrial facility, and a playground in the capital, according to the Kyiv city military administration.

Klitschko later said three people were injured from the Russian missiles in Kyiv Thursday, including a 14-year-old.

Other cities attacked by Russia include Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv, Ukrainian official Anton Herashchenko wrote on Twitter Thursday. “Several regions without electricity – preventive shutdowns. Air defense hard at work. All in Ukraine advised to stay in shelters. Russia terrorizes civilians,” Herashchenko added.

It has been 10 months and six days since the start of the war in Ukraine.
