WATCH: Singer-Cop Kicks Out 'Star Spangled Banner' In His Cruiser

Tom Hurley's a cop by day, but an amazing singer at night. Here, his two careers merge.

WORCESTER, MA—It's a good way to warm up for the night's gig.

Tom Hurley, who's been a Worcester police officer for 26 years, sings the "Star Spangled Banner" in his cruiser, warming up for a show later at Padavano's on Shrewsbury Street with the Drunken Uncles. Hurley performs regularly with the Uncles along with Robin Steiger, and also fronts the Heavy Horses. A veteran singer, he sang, wrote the tunes, and played the guitar with his band Joe Rockhead.
