Eric Trump says waitress spitting in his face is proof the Left is ‘losing’

Eric Trump said a Chicago waitress allegedly spitting in his face was proof his father President Trump is succeeding in office and the Left is “losing.”

In an interview Saturday evening, the 35-year-old businessman called the spitting incident a “heinous act” and said the waitress was “sick.”

Trump compared the incident to the controversies surrounding Empire actor Jussie Smollett, who was accused by Chicago police of faking a hate crime, and former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, who was kicked out of a restaurant for supporting the president.

“That’s their vengeance for your father having won,” said host Jeanine Pirro.

“They know they’re losing. They know he’s done everything he’s said he was going to do, and so much more,” Trump said.

“Our country’s winning again. We’re succeeding again,” Trump said before listing a series of accomplishments of his father. “What’s their platform right now?”

Pirro responded by saying the Left’s only plan is to hate President Trump.

A female employee at a Chicago cocktail bar called the Aviary was taken into custody by the Secret Service, assisted by Chicago police, for allegedly spitting in Eric Trump’s face last week. Trump declined to press charges against the waitress.

Afterwards, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot called for civility.

“Civility matters. We may not agree and, in my case, I don’t agree with a lot of the things that President Trump stands for. Our values are different. But you cross the line when you assault someone. And you absolutely cross the line when you intentionally target someone for that kind of treatment. No one deserves that. No one,” Lightfoot said Thursday.

“This is America. People have a right to have their views, no matter if we agree with them or not. But we can not countenance people who go out of their way to express themselves in such a repugnant fashion,” she continued.
