Biden hits back after Trump mocks him over touching claims

Joe Biden has shot back after President Trump mocked him over accusations from seven women that the former vice president touched them inappropriately.

“I see that you are on the job and presidential, as always,” Biden responded via Twitter Thursday. Hours earlier, Trump had posted a doctored video on Twitter hours earlier.

The video showed Biden creeping up behind himself and grabbing him by the shoulders and kissing the back of his head.

“WELCOME BACK JOE!” Trump captioned the video.

Seven women have said Biden touched them without permission and made them uncomfortable.

“Today, I want to talk about gestures of support and encouragement to women and some men, I’ve made them uncomfortable,” Biden said in his video Wednesday. “In my career, I’ve always tried to make a human connection, that’s my responsibility, I think. I shake hands, I hug people, I grab men and women by the shoulders and say, ‘You can do this.’ Whether they’re women, men, young, old, it’s the way I’ve always been.”

Biden has yet to announce he’s running for president, but is expected to do so in the coming weeks. He has led many polls of possible Democratic contenders for the party’s 2020 nominee.
