Chargers QB Philip Rivers and wife Tiffany have ninth child

PHOENIX -- It's a girl.

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and his wife Tiffany had their ninth child last week, Anna Rivers, the team announced Tuesday.

The couple began dating in middle school and got married after the 37-year-old signal-caller's freshman year at NC State. Rivers is a devout Catholic.

The couple now has seven girls -- Halle, Sarah Catherine, Caroline, Grace, Rebecca, Clare and Anna -- and two boys, Peter and Gunner.

Hesitant to move with eight children from their home in San Diego when the team moved to Los Angeles ahead of the 2017 season, Rivers and Tiffany stayed put. Instead, Rivers commutes daily 90 or so miles in a customized SUV that houses a 40-inch TV capable of computer hookup so he can study film.
